Day 1
We take the coastal road from Athens to the Corinth Canal (short stop). We continue to Epidaurus to visit the Ancient Theatre, the Archaeological Museum and the Sanctuary of Asklepius. Then we arrive in the lovely seaside town of Nafplion (short stop) and drive on to Mycenae, to visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum. In the afternoon, we depart for Olympia crossing Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner and Overnight in Olympia, the place where the ancient Olympic Games took place.
Day 2
In the morning, we visit the Archaeological Site of Olympia, with the interesting museum, the Ancient Stadium and the Temple of Zeus. Then, we drive through the large plains of Ilia and Achaia and cross the impressive cable bridge of Rion Antirrion, which connects Peloponnese to Sterea. Pass the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos and Itea and in the evening arrive in Delphi. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3
In the morning, visit the Archaeological Museum and the Site of Delphi, with the Temple of Apollo, the Stadium, the Ancient Theatre and the Temple of Athena Pronea. Then we depart for Kalambaka, a small town at the foot of Meteora. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 4
In the morning, visit the astonishing rock complex of Meteora and the Byzantine Monasteries on top of the rocks, from where you enjoy a breathtaking view. Then we leave Kalambaka, drive through the fertile land of Thessaly and the valley of Tempi and arrive in the Archaeological Park of Dion, the Sanctuary of Zeus from where Alexander the Great started his large expedition to the East. Dion is located at the foot of Mount Olympus, the home of the ancient Greek gods. Then we continue to Thessaloniki, the second largest town in Greece built around a large port. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 5
Depart in the morning for a tour to the historical Macedonia. First stop at Veria (Biblical Beroea) to visit the Bema of Saint Paul, when the Apostle talked to the locals during his visit. In Veria, we also walk through the old Jewish neighbourhood and the colourful market area. Then we continue to Naoussa to visit Aristotle’s School, where the famous philosopher was teaching Alexander the Great and other youths "the doctrines of morals and politics". Few miles from Naoussa is the picturesque town of Edessa with the impressive waterfalls. We continue to Pella, the capital of the Macedonian kingdom, where we visit the 4th century B.C. villas and the new museum. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
In the morning, visit the unique Roman and Byzantine monuments of Thessaloniki. See some of the oldest Christian churches and visit the Museum of Byzantine Culture, awarded with the Council of Europe’s Museum Prize for 2005. Rest of the day free to enjoy the town at your own pace. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 7
Next day we drive to Vergina to visit the unique museum created in the Great Tumulus covering the royal tombs of Macedonia. See the marvelous golden findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, father of Alexander the Great. Then we drive south through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (see the Monument of Leonidas), Thebes and arrive in Athens late in the afternoon.

N.B. Ladies need to wear skirt for the visit to Meteora Monasteries and gentlemen need long trousers. Clients staying at the coast will depart for their hotels, from G.O.TOURS terminal around 19.15 hrs.
