A fantastic week tour from one to the other side of the Greek mainland! You get to see legendary places that you have known from myths and history, like Mycenae and Olympia. I liked it a lot! My only rejection was the heavy hot weather in August. It made it difficult to walk through the monuments under 40oC. You will surely need hat, water and sun lotion for this end. If I would go to this tour again, I would prefer spring or autumn days when the heat is not so strong.

You see everything you have to see in mainland with this tour. The most interesting ancient places, the most beautiful towns. Thessaloniki, Nafplion, Kastoria and so many other cute towns on the way. All hotels were fabulous and had the best views. All dinners were delicious but a bit more variety in dishes would be better. There are other things to eat in Greece than meat and pies!!

Heya!
We are 2 friends from Portugal and felt like sharing our Greek 7day experience with you.
First of all, we are both fine with the tour and we would like to thank our guides and the tour crew for being there, being friendly and amazing!
I will start with the ancient sightseeings and museums. Still trying to choose and decide which place was better. the ancient theater was glorious, Mycenae stunning, same for Delphi, Stadium of Olympia, monument of Leonidas. A big applaud to the guides, for making these monuments even more interesting.
Thessaloniki was a nice city, we spent a day there, so we had the opportunity to explore the city some more than the other stops. The coastal area around the port was great, especially with sunny weather. What you do not have to worry about when in Thessaloniki is food. There are so many cafes, restaurants, traditional tavernas, fast food and bakeries all around the town, that is hard to miss. One of our guides suggested us to try a kind of... cream pie desert with sugar, cinnamon and a fill of a delicious vanilla cream. Do NOT leave Thesaloniki without having that! So delicious...! (it has a strange name I don't remember now, but it is in all bakeries)
Last but not least, Kastoria. I have to admit that this village was the best stop we had, at least for me. Such a shame we didn't stay longer. Maybe that could be a proposal: More time in Kastoria? I would love to spend a night there, or even a whole day. The lake in the center of the village is beautiful. Many places to relax around there, watching the ducks and swans swimming at the lake. Many traditional products and souvenirs there also. Local sweets, drinks, rural products, wool and leather clothes... these people sell even carpets for souvenirs.

Get out of the trouble

After so many years on the islands, we decided that on this autumn trip to Greece, we visit the mainland. A tour always relieves you from the trouble to book hotels and car rentals, look for the best routes and the best places and the best restaurants and all these tiring things that give you the headache!! The 7-day tour to all around Greece really came as a solution to our problems. In fact, a friend adviced to take this tour because he had done the same last year. The schedule looked great, the prices normal, so we said why not get out of the trouble? We visited some really interesting sites in this tour and beautiful cities. We saw things that we didn't know their existence. Meteora and Kastoria were the top of this tour, but Thessaloniki was also lovely. There was enough time to see everything and much leisure time to discover ourselves. It can be tiring for some people, because you spend a lot of hours in the bus, but you get so excited from what you see that it doesn't really matter.
