 Day 1We depart to northern Greece, following the national highway. After the towns of Larissa and Trikala, we arrive early in the afternoon in Kalambaka, a small town located at the foot of the magnificent rocks of Meteora. We visit two monasteries of Meteora, built on top of huge rocks and offering breathtaking view to the valley below. Later on, you take part in a Greek cooking lesson in a traditional Greek restaurant. After the course, you enjoy the dishes as dinner along with delicious local house wine. Overnight in 3-star hotel in Kalambaka.
Day 2Depart from Kalambaka and head to Vergina, to visit the amazing museum in the Great Tumulus covering the royal tombs of the Macedonian kings. There you can see the golden findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, the father of Alexander the Great. We continue driving to our hotel, at the seaside resort of Leptokarya. Enjoy the facilities of the 4-star hotel and swim in the amazing beach. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3After breakfast, you can again enjoy a swim and before noon we start driving to the south towards Athens. A couple of hours before Athens, we make a stop to visit a famous Greek winery, the Hatzimichalis winery. Visit the vineyards, learn everything about wine production and see the 2,500 French oak barriques in the underground cellars. After the tour, you will taste two different wines. We continue our trip to Athens and arrive late in the evening.
