Interesting but tiring

Interesting tour that covers all the important places of the Greek mainland. You get to see Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia and Delphi, which are basically the main archaeological sites in the country. It was a very nice experience, hotels great and food delicious. Only if I knew how tiring it would be, I would choose the two days tour. If you are less than 60, go for it! Otherwise, do the smaller tour. Three days from morning to night were a lot for us.

Perhaps a better timetable

I went on the three day classical tour starting on 21 June. Overall it was very satisfactory and enjoyable. Both the three day tour and four day tour shared the coach for the first three days, all arrangements worked well. However, for the three day tour, we were left for two hours at the Amelia Hotel in Delphi for the return journey to Athens having to wait for the one day tour to finish and take us back. Because of timing, it was not known exactly how long we had to wait but ended up at two hours. Had we had a definite time, we might have gone back to Delphi but because we did not know we were left sitting in the hotel. As I say, the tour was enjoyable and suited myself but whether this was a hitch just for this tour or it happens periodically, perhaps a better timetable could be worked out for returning to Athens.

Give more gourmet dishes

It was winter that we visited Greece and as we couldn't go to the islands, we went to the mainland. Instead of booking hotels and renting a car by ourselves, we took this tour to the most popular places in the inland: all the famous ancient sites and some lovely towns in between. Olympia was my favourite place and it must have the best organized museum in Greece. All pieces were clean, on their stand and labelled, which may be normal for another country but unfortunately in Greece people don't take good care of museums. The hotels were excellent but the dinner could have more variety in dishes and give us try something gourmet. You expect this from A class hotels, don't you?

The three-days Classical Tour started with a wonderful day in the middle of November that unfortunately came rainy in the evening. The first day, we visited Mycenae, Nafplion (very beautiful town, it reminded me of Medieval Italian towns) and Epidaurus. In Epidaurus, a heavy storm started but fortunately it lasted only for 15 minutes, so we stayed in the museum and didn't get out until it stopped. The nexe days were great and sunny. Olympia was an excellent organized site and the museum was one of the best in Greece. Delphi was also nice, but more for the site not the museum. On our way to Delphi, we stopped at Nafpaktos and believe me this is one of the most beautiful towns I have visited in Greece! Nothing extraordinary, just a small port with a square, but the atmosphere was superb. Hotels were A class in all places and the guide very helpful.

I have one thing to say! 3 awesome days! We joined this tour as a group of 3 friends from Italy. Of course, you always have fun in excursions, but good organization is the top to have a good time, except for the lovely places. Firstly, I'd like to say how much pleased I am from the organization. No delays, no trouble and a very good guide. On our first day, I enjoyed our time in Nafplio the most. It's a beautiful small town, full of colors and narrow streets. There is a nice square with the town's main clock and many cafes and an ice-cream shop. We had a delicious "kaimaki" there. It's a Greek cream favor and I totally suggest this! Our stop and guidance through the Mycenae ruins was more than interesting. This place seemed so powerful, even after all these years. Second days' best, in my opinion, was the ancient stadium of Olympia. Nice to be there, and see with your own eyes, where these games were born. Great guidance there! Free evening at Delphi village and a Greek taverna is a must! Third and last day unfortunately... I really liked the view of the olive valleys and the whole environment there.

We spent 5 days in Greece in October, 1 day in Athens and 3 days on a Classical Tour. Your very kind, clever, helpful guide, Anastazia, was telling all over our tour. She and the kind driver of the bus were looking after us. We could see the most important places and monuments. My only problem, that we could not to visit the theatre in Delphi because of technical problems. We got nice and comfortable rooms in Olympia and Delphi. The quality, organization, services were excellent. Thank You very much.

This tour is a wonderful opportunity to see some real Greece in the mainland. First day: Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplion. Second day: Olympia. Third day: Delphi. All places are wonderful, hotels and dinners were superb. Try this tour before you hop to the islands. It will be a nice introduction to your Greek holidays.

This was a magnificent and so relaxing tour around the most famous ancient sites in Greece. We are grateful to discover wonderful places in Greece that we had never heard of. For example, we visit the country for the last 5 years but we didn't know about this cute little town, Nafpaktos, that stole our heart from the first moment. Wonderful organization, excellent guide and really comfortable pick up from the hotel as we were carrying our luggage. Thanks for everything, people, and keep doing so nice tours!!

Three days of no worries, of other people running for you, of pure joy, good food and trips... how can this be bad? That kind of days are never enough! The tour was wonderful and the places were certainly worth to see!
Personally I mostly enjoyed Olympia, both the ancient monument and the village. We spent one night in Olympia. It is nice to see villages like that, with so friendly people and life without stress. We had a nice walk around the village and ended up at the square, where lots of families were out as well. With Greek music at the background and cheerful people around you, along with the tasty goodies and local wine, it is hard to not have an awesome night! Delphi was also a nice village that looked a lot like Olympia and had a gorgeous site close by. Hotels in all locations were fine and if you have any problem, tell the guide. Nick was very helpful all the time.

A nice to Classical Greece: famous ancient sites and lovely villages in just a tour. I loved that I didn't have to look for hotels to stay, hot to go, how much it costed. Thank God, I found this tour and everything was arranged. Indeed, all went perefect at the end. Many thanks, Maria, for the helpful guide!
