 Day 1Drive from Athens to the Corinth Canal (short stop), where the Aegean meets the Ionian Sea. Continue to Mycenae, where you can see the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Treasury of Atreus and the Archaeological Museum. Lunch in Mycenae. Then cross the fertile land of Argolis and arrive in Nafplion, a lovely town with Medieval architecture that the Venetians used to call the "Naples of Greece". Afternoon free to visit the fortress of Palamidi, the Old Town, the island-fortress of Bourtzi at the entrance of the port and the numerous museums. Overnight.
Day 2Morning free to continue your visit in Nafplion, relax at the cafeterias by the seaside and walk the promenade of Akronafplia. Continue to Epidaurus to visit the Ancient Theatre with the magnificent design and acoustics. Return to Athens.
