 Day 1Drive through the fertile land of Beotia, crossing the towns of Thebes (kingdom of the legendary Oedipus), Levadia and Arachova (short stop on the way back). Arrive at Delphi, the most famous oracle of the ancient world and navel of the Earth. Built amphitheatrically along the slopes of Mount Parnassus and surrounded by gorgeous nature, this archaeological site is among the most impressive places in Greece. Visit the Temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Ancient Theatre, the Stadium, the Gymnasium, the Temple of Athena Pronea. Do not miss the Archaeological Museum with masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture, such as the bronze Charioteer and the Sphinx. Lunch in the modern village of Delphi and return to Athens by the same route.
