Pandeli in Athens
Pandeli in Athens opened in 2003 by the grand-children of Pandelis, a talented Grek who first opened a restaurant with the same name in Istanbul in 1901. This restaurant became the most famous in Istanbul and it was regularly visited by local and international personalities. About a century later, the family opened a restaurant with the same name and architecture in Kifissia, one of the wealthiest suburbs of Athens.
The atmosphere of a vaulted room resembling to the historical building in Istanbul revives in the beautiful venue of Pandeli in Kifisia. Just few steps from the central square of Kefalari, Pandeli is finely decorated with elements from the original restaurant in Istanbul. Since its opening, the restaurant has gained a gradual success. The ingredients are always fresh and the recipes are a mixture of the Greek quality and pure oriental flavors.
