Athens Paintball Village was created in 2005 by Apostolos Kiritsis and Nilos Nikolou and it is a pioneer field for the Greek Paintball. The first part of the field was completed in the beginning of 2006 with the construction of a speedball floor with synthetic lawn as well as an urban recball floor in the size of a neighborhood with cement houses and destroyed cars, just like the scenery of a Hollywood movie!
Next to the fields, there is a cafeteria and the area where visitors can watch the matches. The constructors made this area as safe as possible and this effort was recognized when the Athens Paintball Village was voted as the best Speedball field for 2006 by the users of PBZone. Since September 2007, the Paintball Village is enlightened allowing to organize matches even at night without a special charge.
Athens Painball Village also hosts many successful events, such as the speedball and the recball championships. It is located near the Athens International Airport and can be easily accessed by car and the suburban railway.
