Rafina in Athens Greece: On the north east of Attica peninsula and close to the International Airport of Athens, there is the seaside town of Rafina. With small block of flat expanding around the bay, Rafina is a relaxing town away from the noise of central Athens. Due to its location, Rafina also serves as a port that serves ferries to the neighbouring island of Evia and the most important islands of Cyclades, like Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Syros and Santorini.
The port of Rafina is only 15 km from the airport of Athens, which makes it a lot closer than the port of Piraeus. The distance from Athens to Rafina is about 55 km and it can be covered by bus. The tourist development in Rafina is bit limited, with few hotels and a close camping but many cafeterias and restaurants.
