Piraeus Athens: Piraeus Greece is located 10 km south-west of central Athens. It used to be more important than Athens, although now it is quite the opposite.
It is divided into three parts.
The Great Harbour (Megalo Limani) is Athens’s main port where all ferries for the Greek islands and Italy leave from. It is also a place full of cheap shops, restaurants, enjoyable cafés and bars. Every Sunday morning, you will be able to visit the Piraeus flea market, bigger and considered better than the one in Monastiraki. |
