fights along history. The exhibits extend for ten rooms that cover Greek history from the Prehistoric Period to the Second World War. Rooms 1 and 2 are devoted to the prehistoric and ancient times. Rooms 3 and 4 host exhibits from the Byzantine times and the Frankish domination.
Rooms 5 and 6 display the weapons of the Greek War of Independence. Room 7 presents more modern weapons. Rooms 8 and 9 are devoted to the Balkan Wars and the First World War, while Room 10 hosts exhibits from the Second World War. Apart from actual weapons, the museum also includes some photographs from various Greek battles as well as some artifacts from Ancient China and Japan.
The museum also hosts a well-organized library, an amphitheatre for lectures and a conference room.The War Museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday morning and the admission is free.
