The Athens Concert Hall has been regularly hosting high quality events. Although the promotion of Classical music was its principal goal, it also encourages contemporary world music and from time to time new artists, as well, have the opportunity to display their skills. The organization has been promoting art and culture through a series of innovative events like seminars and art appreciation sessions, which has found ready acceptance with the youth brigade.

The Friends of Music Society is an integral part of the Athens Concert Hall. It is an NGO which was established in the year 1953. Over the years, the Society has been promoting Greek music and has been at the forefront of conducting research in the field of art and culture. The Society's library is well stocked with 80,000 titles. It also boasts of rare manuscripts, audiovisual material and a host of other associated art objects.

Exclusive study centers have been established to carry out research projects. The library is well connected with some of Europe's most renowned cultural centers and it participates in the European Union's Harmonica plan, which is concerned with the application of cutting edge technology in music libraries. The library's collection is not only confined to music. It also has material on theatre, dance and other art forms. The library is quite a rage with students, research scholars, as well as the general public.
